Yahaira Lopez is the founder of Autism Sprinter, Inc. Yahaira knows the struggles of Autism firsthand—she has twin boys on the Autism Spectrum as well as ADHD. As any mother knows, young boys can be a handful. Young twins add even more complications. And having twin boys with different levels of autism adds even more difficulties. After a couple of years of venting over social media, a friend suggested she start a blog to help support families affected by autism as well share her experiences. Thus, Autism Sprinter was born. Yahaira is dedicated to autism awareness and sharing her struggles of so others know they’re not alone while their child is sprinting through autism.
Maya Abdul-Malik, Co-Founder is an amazing mother to an au-some daughter, which also suffers from epilepsy. She plays multiple roles in the organization that is instrumental to the growth of Autism Sprinter, Inc. Maya is a true inspiration to our organization. She gives gives us hope and faith that autism is not just a label for our loved ones, but a super power that has been given to those with autism. She is dedicated to autism awareness, community outreach and fighting for the rights of our loved ones with autism.
